Uganda-Rwanda Cultural Tour:13 Days

This safari takes you to the great cultural sites of Uganda and Rwanda. You will participate in different cultural activities with the host communities including cultural dance and drama, story telling and village walks. Visit the exceptional sites of the pearl of Africa from the source of the Nile follow it up to Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth National park, with culture and proceed to Bwindi south where you will visit the Batwa before crossing to Rwanda for more cultural experiences.

Uganda – Rwanda Cultural Tour, VISIT KAMPALA, JINJA, MURCHISON FALLS, KASESE, LAKE VICTORIA AND RWANDA (13 DAYS)

Day One: Arrival

Arrival at Entebbe international airport, meet with the driver guide for introduction and transfer to a hotel. O/N Lake Victoria hotel or Boma Guest house in Entebbe/ Pope Paul Hotel or Hotel Africana in Kampala. (BB)

Day Two: Kampala – Source of the Nile

After breakfast receive briefing from the guide then head off to the source of the giant river of Africa the Nile in Jinja via Mukono through Mabira Forest the largest diversity of bird species in Uganda, the journey proceeds across Owen falls dam the legend hydro electricity generator for Uganda. By boat view the separation of river Nile from Lake Victoria, here the water you see Nile starts its 90days journey Have lunch at Jinja Nile resort hotel and head for Obstinacy of Bujagali, Itanda falls. Day Three: Kampala – Murchison Park

Take an early morning drive to Murchison Falls Conservation Area. Drive through Luwero, Nakasongola and branch off to Ziwa Rhino camp. Here you will track rhino in their habitats after over 30yrs extinction in Uganda. Thereafter, proceed to Masindi, Lunch en route, enter into the park and check in at your lodge for an evening. Day Four: Murchison Falls National Game Park

The day starts with a game drive north of the River Nile. Here you will possibly see different bird species, hartebeests, elephants, Cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, Oribis, bushbucks, bohor reed bucks, hyenas and probably lions. Break for lunch and return for and afternoon launch cruise to the bottom of the spectacular falls as you view fauna in a closer range including hippos and Nile crocodiles. Climb to the top of the falls where you can see the Nile’s perfect gorgeousness, and sensation as it compresses and constrict for over a kilometer wide down through a 7-meter chasm. Day Five: Masindi – Fort portal

Take along drive south to fort portal via Hoima through local villages astonishing view of tea plantation sceneries en route. you will visit the royal palace in Hoima before continuing to Fort portal, the ‘Mountains of the moon’ region.You will explore some crater lakes nearby and carry on for a night, have a jaunty sleep on an innate divan. Day Six: Fort Portal

After a morning break fast visit the “Kabarore” Royal palace and experience culture of the batooro before visiting the Amere Ganyinamwiru (Amabere Cave) which are believed to be the breasts of the princes from the land, have an amazing view with culture before heading for a hiking village walk.  Day Seven: Fort Portal — Queen Elizabeth national Park

Set off in the morning after breakfast to for Queen Elizabeth National park. take an evening game drive in search for game before retuning to the lodge for a rest. O/N Simba Safari Camp or Mweya safari Lodge (FB).

 Day Eight: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Set off early in morning for a game drive as you fabulous animals of the pearl, visit Katwe and buffaloes can never miss your sight here. Guinea fowls and other bird species, elephants, giraffes, and Kobs in their mating grounds can be viewed as there are chances seeing tree climbing lions on your rummage. After lunch take an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel as you view fauna at a closer range, hippos, other animals and several bird species will be seen as the get water to douse themselves. Day Nine: Kyambura gorge – Bwindi South

Visit Kyambura gorge in the morning and track chimps and monkeys as you take a view of the gorgeous Albertine rift valley model of scenery. Break for lunch and later quit Kasese for Bwindi south. O/N Nkuringo community camps or Heritage Hotel Kisoro (FB).

Day Ten: Batwa Trail

You will go for a forest walk guided by Batwa guide to explore the caves and experience the way of life of the Batwa pygmies. An entertainment evening with Batwa dance and drama would be a good experience. O/N Nkuringo Community Camp (FB).

Day Eleven: Kisoro – Kigali

After Breakfast, you will drive to Kigali, Rwanda, (Clock Back in time by 1hr) taking a scenic route, enjoying the plantations and roadside markets. Arrive Rwanda late before lunch. Dinner at local restaurant. O/N Serena Kigali Hotel (BB).

Day Twelve: Kigali city tour

 You will have breakfast in the morning before going for a city tour of Kigali the capital of Rwanda. View an attractive city, the markets, handicrafts shops and the genocide sites. Visit the Nyabugogo market, Moslem Quarter and the genocide museum.  O/N Serena Kigali Hotel (BB).

Day Thirteen: Departure

After breakfast, you will transfer to Kigali airport for your departure flight .
